What we store
When you finish the assessment we store your nine scores, the time, and a random identifier that forms your result link. We do not store your individual answers, your name, your email or an account, because there are none.
In your browser
While you take the test, your answers are kept in your browser's local storage so you can pause and continue. They are removed when you submit, and you can remove them at any time with "Clear my answers and start over". After you submit, the browser also keeps a small secret key for your result; it is what lets you delete that result later. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your result link
A result can be opened by anyone who has its link. The identifier is random and cannot be guessed in practice, but treat the link as private and share it only with people you trust.
Keeping and deleting results
Results are kept until they are deleted, and we may remove old results in the future. In the browser where you took the test, the result page has a "Delete this result" button. It removes the result from our database for good. From another browser or device this is not possible, because nothing else proves that the result is yours.
Hosting
The site runs on Vercel and results are stored in a Neon Postgres database. Like any web host, these providers process technical data such as IP addresses in their server logs.
Contact
If you have a question about your data, or want a result deleted and no longer have the browser you took the test in, write to hello@stylesofself.com and include the result link.
